Tonight at Chow Baby the waiter told us all to write our names on the paddles that go in the bowl you fix yourself. We all started writing on our paddles and Lucy was (I thought) scribbling on hers. The she holds it up and says- look Mommy! There was a perfect L and Y on the front and a U and C on the back. She wrote her name on her paddle because the waiter told her to. I didn't know she could write her name. She then proceeded to write it on the napkins several times. What makes it even more hilarious is that for the last month I've been writing her name for her and begging her to trace it or try to write it herself. She has refused me every.single.time. Then she busts out with her name tonight. Cause the waiter asked.
Lucy was born Monday December 3, 2007 at 1:24pm She weighed in at 7 lbs 6 oz and was 21 inches long. This blog details what followed

Snow Tubing
Luz Tube from Wes Little on Vimeo.
This was one of Luz' favorite activities of the trip. Me? I was pretty freaked out, she looked like she was going to pop out of the tube.Friday, March 18, 2011
Luz Ski Lesson
ski school from Wes Little on Vimeo.
Look in the middle, instructor in green shirt, Luz in leopard top pink pants. Note: I meant to edit this down, but apparently I accidentally uploaded the raw clip so unless you want to hear me and Josh and mom talk about cellular service and SD cards and some kids crying then skip ahead, your girl starts skiing around 1:07.Monday, March 14, 2011
Ski Darling
Note the perfect form and intense look of concentration. This is required on the magic carpet.
The weather here has been quite warm- 50 degrees today. When you're working hard on skis you get sweaty really fast. Lucy had to shed her outer layer to reveal this very chic leopard print fleece.
Most adorable snow plow ever.
Next year- black diamonds.
