Mimsy and Grand Dad came up this weekend to keep Lucy while Mommy and Papa had to work. After I got off work on Saturday we took a field trip to IKEA. It's one of my favorite places to shop and the cheap ice cream doesn't hurt either. Lucy really enjoyed her ice cream cone. It was purchased with the intention of being a Mommy and Lucy cone, but let's just say Mommy did not get her fair share. Lucy had a melt down when I tried to have a little so she pretty much got to eat the entire thing. I had to move pretty fast to get the paper off the cone.
We had a little snow last week (I was pretty disappointed because it was supposed to be a couple inches thursday afternoon and we got nothing thursday afternoon but less than an inch thursday night). La Luz still enjoyed trouncing around in it for a few minutes in the morning. But it was super cold and not enough snow to do anything fun with so it was short lived.
Last week I had a day with Lucy where I wasn't sure what to do.
I came up with: Marta.
So, it's a little cheap and you might think lame, but it worked. All we did was took the train downtown, went to the park for less than 10 minutes (it was very cold) and then took the train back. She had a good time.
One benefit to having a mother than can't/won't often cook is that you become a dining out foodie early on. Lucy created this noodle bowl herself at Chow Baby (which, for those of you with kiddos, is actually pretty kid friendly). Then ate her masterpiece with chopsticks. I will be so proud of her someday when she wins Top Chef.
