and everyone gets their own place to sleep and toys and no one can make fun of anyone
I like all of those.  how about everyone has to eat healthy food?
ok, but they get dessert too and they get to spend time in the sunshine.

When Lucy rules the world it's gonna be a great place.

Pancake eater

We make pancakes every Saturday.  Lucy is my helper and the beneficiary.  Let's remember, pancakes are really just a vehicle for syrup.

Valentine's Day

Lucy is super excited about good ol' V-day this year.  Wes and I don't usually "do" valentine's day, but I have to admit- I've had a lot of fun this year making things from pinterest for my very cutest valentine.

A Conversation

On the way to school/work-
Lucy: Mommy, why can only boys be army people?
Me: Girls can be in the army.  There are lots of women serving in the army.
Lucy: Oh good- when I grow up I want to be a Mommy, a teacher, a lifeguard AND an army person.  I want to go to Afghanistan.
Me: It would make Mommy very nervous if you went to Afghanistan.
Lucy: Why?
Me: Because it's sort of a dangerous place.
Lucy: Don't worry, you can come too.  You can be my coach.
Me: Why do you want to go to Afghanistan.
Lucy: Because I love our country and I want to protect it.
