Imagine it

Last week we went to Imagine it childrens museum.
Luz + un play with "moon sand"
Lucy spent a lot of time playing in the kitchen and grocery store (plastic food). Luz drives the bus. Painting
They had a little fishing thing with magnets. We tried to get la luz to pose with the fish like a sportsmen. She didnt get it. But i look crazy enough for the both of us. Later we tried to get her to say "the fish was THIS BIG". But she kept saying "it was LITTLE". Lots to learn about fishing.

Swim Class

Lucy recently started swim class with Dynamo at Agnes Scott College. This week Mimsy took her while I was at work. Grand Dad and Aunt Susan and Aunt Sally went along too. Aunt Sally brought her camera, which is awesome because otherwise we may never have gotten photographic evidence of Lucy's swim lessons. Here are a few of the fish-girl in action. And thanks to Mimsy for being such a good sport (she even got her hair wet).
This is her favorite game- kicking and reaching for the duckies to gather them up and put them back in the bucket.
Learning to jump in.
Learning how to get out. She just needs a little boost.
Watching her instructor Miss Denise demonstrate with her baby Pumpkin.

Lucy's pal Trish came over to hang out with Lucy friday night. They worked on some art projects, while mom + pops went out for Mom's birthday.
Then Saturday cousins Lewis, Lindsey and the baby Margot came by. They joined Lucy for Kindermusik and some brunch @ Radial.

Baby Brain

You've heard of the dreaded "baby brain" the theory behind it being that the baby is sucking all your blood and nutrients so you can't think put together a coherent sentence. I'm here to tell you that it's true and it's only partially reversible once the baby arrives. To prove my point I am posting these pictures from a baby shower three dear friends threw me when I was pregnant with Lucy. I am sure that Marla gave me this CD with these pictures weeks after the shower, but today is the first time I've EVER laid eyes on them. At least the first time I remember. I stumbled on the CD while doing a little cleaning today. They were packed away with my office supplies. Well, I'm glad I found them and got to remember such a precious day. Also, if you gave me any pictures during this general time frame I'm going to need another copy.
What wonderful friends!
Note: the last picture is one of Haden and Lucy's first portraits together.

In the car car

I turned Lucy's carseat around last night. This morning she acted like she was seeing the world for the first time. Oooooo Mommy look a car! Another one! Look Mommy a garbage truck! Trees!!
Then my favorite part:
Lucy: A fish!
Me: you see a fish?
Lucy: uh huh, I'ma catch it!
Me: what color is the fish? Blue, green, or red?
Lucy: ummmm orange!
Me: is it a big fish or little fish?
Lucy: little
Me: what's the fish's name?
Lucy: ummmmm BUG!
Me: So when you catch the little orange fish named Bug what are you going to do with him?
Lucy: (and I swear she rolled her eyes at me before answering) Play with it.

Well- duh.

Free stuff

People like to give Lucy stuff sometimes. We love Eats and our friend there today gave Lucy a cool Eats shirt. It's a little big but she's very proud of it.
Something tells me her getting stuff given to her might not stop any time soon.
