Seriously though, she bumped into a table at the babysitters. Lil Lucy needs to be more careful.
Today Lucy had her 12 month check up. Yes, I realize that it is a month late, but our pediatrician is very popular. Her updated stats are as follows:
ht: 28.5 inches (25th percentile)
wt: 19 lbs 2 oz (10th percentile)
and I forget her head circumference, but it is in the 50th percentile
So she continues to have a large noggin, but everything else is pretty petite. She was also diagnosed with her second ear infection. Her second ever and this month. We just finished a round of antibiotics for an infection in her left ear- today it's the right one that's infected. Hopefully, this new antibiotic will clear everything up and we can be done with ear infections for awhile. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that we are not looking at something that is going to be chronic.
The pediatrician said she is meeting and/or exceeding all her milestones and is perfect in every way, but this is nothing new to us!
Lucy can say a couple words close to standard English and use them to mean almost what they really mean. They are:
Bye bye (sometimes used correctly but often used as "open this door please")
Uh-oh (I dropped / am planning on dropping something)
She has a few more that are close:
Papa (usually sounds more like bah bah but it means me)
Hee (key)
Dough (Dog, usually Ella)
Beebo (Belly button. Sometimes the pronunciation is better, closer to "bellbuh". But it means belly button, which she's obsessed with, hers mostly but she's intereted in yours too)
